They're Hired! Khud Digital Accountants secure jobs all across town.
This past week a cohort of 10 students graduated from the Digital Accountants Program and we are happy to report that 5 of them have bagged well-paying jobs in the first week following their graduation. The remaining 5 students have their interviews scheduled this following week and we are optimistic that they will be placed in no time!
These students were inducted back in August as part of the Digital Accountants Program and trained under the supervision of industry experts to become adept at digital accountancy, bookkeeping and basic financial management for small and medium enterprises.
Shh! Self learning in process
The second phase of the DAP entails assisting trained students in getting placements at reputable businesses across the city. This consists of finding suitable opportunities within our partner firms, fixing interviews and ensuring onboarding with fair contracts between the employers and employees.
Talking to the freshly graduated students we gathered that they were particularly helped by practice-based learning modules and recitation sessions that were a part of the DAP curriculum. Students noted that their experience with DAP gave them the comparative edge over other candidates and proved instrumental in their selection.
As we gear up for the next batch of the DAP, we plan to implement the lessons learnt in this pilot for the upcoming batch. We aim to pivot towards the international markets with each iteration of the program to ensure that our students can get jobs not just in Pakistan but also explore their options internationally through freelancing platforms. Batch 2 will also feature a bigger batch size, shorter training time and more employment opportunities for students.
