Motivational Speaker Session held at Khud’s Partner School

Roshan Usman, Maham Bano and Arsalan Nawaz visited the Zahoor Ahmad Public School for an interactive session with Khud students, where the goal was to motivate Khud students about their fields of interest and mentor them about career prospects. The speakers could really connect with students because they belonged to the same fields our students were getting their training in.

Roshan, CEO of Talent incorporated and a filmmaker by profession spoke about how one’s equipment and surroundings do not matter in his field and that students could achieve great things if they remained curious and kept working hard. Roshan was particularly impressed by the kind of video editing curriculum under use in Khud programs and commented that:

““The tools the kids are learning here, they don’t teach a majority of them even at NCA. These skills are going to be game changers for them in the field””

Maham Bano, who is a UI/UX designer by profession, listed the many doors, skills like Graphic Designing could open for the students. In her speech, she described the potential for financial and professional growth in graphic design as “explosive”.  Maham also stressed on the importance of young women pursuing careers in the visual arts and detailed her experience as a woman working in the field. 

Arsalan Nawaz introduced the students to the world of professional software development, he talked about the bubbling tech-startup culture and different freelancing platforms like Fiverr and Upwork that could help students earn considerable amounts even before starting any professional degrees.

After their talks the speakers mingled with the students and discussed their ongoing projects. Roshan showed students the latest advertisement he had made which was received with dropped jaws and dozens of questions pointed at every frame in the video.  Buzzing with excitement, students requested Roshan for a tour of his studio - so that they could see the magic happening before their eyes - to which Roshan graciously agreed!

At the end of the day the Khud team left satisfied; the students had acquired many dreams, etched out several plans, their passion was palpable, their resolve reified.
