Sweltering Summer Heat is the Latest Challenge to Edtech in Pakistan

As schools across the country resume classes post lockdown they are faced with yet another challenge, the sweltering heat of the summer months! With temperatures touching 45 degree Celsius and frequent power outages teaching is becoming a herculean task to say the least.

Arooba Ali, a Khud member notes:

“Energies are low in classrooms, students are struggling to concentrate”

Power outages are doubly worse for Khud digital learning centers, with no electricity teachers can do very little to deliver material and give practice assessments.

However no matter how bad the situation gets the Khud team is committed to its mission of changing young lives through the power of technology. It is also important to recognize and commend the hard work of our teaching staff, who have not let the heat get the better of them and have continued to motivate students to learn and grow.

We are in the process of devising and creating a remote learning system to promote Edtech in Pakistan through which students would be able to learn from their homes safely. In addition to this we are also in trying to install air-conditioning in all our digital learning centers in wake of this unprecedented challenge. To reach these targets we would once again want to reach out to our supporters to come forward and help us in this time of need.
